Powered by Makita’s 18V LXT platform, the DJR186Z reciprocating saw provides a stroke rate of up to 2,800 strokes per minute with a 32 mm stroke length, allowing fast and efficient cutting through a wide range of materials. It is capable of cutting timber up to 255 mm thick and steel pipe up to 130 mm in diameter, making it suitable for demanding trade applications.
A tool-less blade change system enables quick blade swaps without downtime, while the variable-speed trigger offers precise control across different materials. An electric brake quickly stops the blade after release, improving safety and workflow efficiency.
The slim, rubberised grip and well-balanced design ensure comfortable handling during prolonged use. Built with Makita’s XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), the saw offers increased resistance to dust and light moisture, helping maintain performance in tough site conditions. Supplied as a body only unit; batteries and chargers are sold separately.
