BLS 2 is a high-quality, single-source natural topsoil that has been repurposed and professionally screened, typically to 20 mm. Classified as a sandy/clay loam, it contains naturally retained organic matter, offering excellent moisture and nutrient-holding properties.

This topsoil is ideal for large-scale planting schemes, ground-level landscaping, and amenity lawns. It should be installed at depths up to 350–400 mm; greater depths should be built up using appropriate subsoil products.
Thanks to its strong water-retention qualities, BLS 2 is suitable for areas without permanent irrigation systems, although temporary irrigation may be required during initial plant establishment.
